So far (1979 to 2017), 3500 national and international) experts, scholars, industrialists, practicing managers and authorities have delivered different talks on various relevant and timely topics of management through the forum of MAN. Topical areas covered have included social marketing, privatization, foreign investment, energy management, management development, management information system and organizational effectiveness, training and productivity etc. The talk programs have provided valuable opportunities for discussing and sharing of experience and thoughts of individual’s institutions. Speakers included those from India, Bangladesh, Canada, The Philippines the United States and Japan etc.

Besides talk programs, MAN has also organized several discussion forums much as panel discussions, symposiums, seminars etc. Discussion forums have included such topics as training needs in Nepalese enterprises, competitive advantage of nations, Death coverage insurance Schemes, Making management effective, etc., each of which were led by experienced discussants. As a major forum activity, MAN each year conducts and annual management convention on a theme of contemporary management interest and importance. In every annual convention an attempt is made to present a national management development survey of the previous year.

The Management Development Center carries out management studies, research on banking, finance, marketing, rural development and consultancy on management issues. The regular publication of MAN includes management journals, newsletters and reports. In order to encourage and recognize excellence in corporate management, MAN also gives a Manager of the Year Award to the chief executive officer of an institution adjudged to have made the most excellent contribution in the previous year.
